Social impact

  • Madagascar charity work in November 2022 and Kenya in November 2023 in partnership with Vision For All.
  • Dedicated a total of 200 volunteer hours, resulting in 2000 eye exams and the donation of 2000 pairs of spectacles.
  • In 2023, Skans contributed 9% of their revenue to support the 1% for the Planet initiative, surpassing our initial ambition a considerable margin.

1% for the planet member

Skans aims to work as responsibly as possible. Being a member of this group of businesses that work to protect our natural resources is one attempt to it.

Through joining 1% for the planet, we have committed to donate 1% of our annual sales to non profit environmental groups.

In 2002, Yvon Chouinard the founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews the founder of Blue

Ribbon Flies, created 1% for the Planet and started the global movement.
